The Guwal is a luxuriously comfortable classroom chair with a contemporary look. It’s based on Koskela’s Kaaria chair, the aim of which was to design an executive-style chair you could happily sit on for hours on end.  

Students will appreciate the business-class upgrade and without any niggly discomforts, should be able to focus and perform better.  

Guwal has a steel tube base that has been carefully moulded so the chair is stackable, which is essential for a smooth operating classroom.  

The padded seat and back have a removable cover made from 100 percent eco-wool fabric. The fabric has added stain protection and the covers can be taken off and professionally cleaned to keep the product in tip-top condition.  This is one of the most customisable products in the Learn by Koskela range. Choose from four colours for the steel tube base, which have been specially developed for the Learn by Koskela Senior range and are inspired by the Australian landscape.

 Each one of these four colours has four complementary fabrics that you can select for the upholstery. This allows for subtle tonal variation in a classroom, which mimics nature, and has a calming effect that benefits students and teachers alike.  

Guwal translates to senior, and the word originates from the Dharug Aboriginal language in Sydney.
