GECA is pleased to welcome Bio Natural Solutions as one of our newest licensees for 2015. The Australian owned and operated cleaning solutions company was established in 2008 and provides a range of different specialised cleaning solutions, several of which are certified under GECA's Cleaning Products standard.

Three new standards for paper and recycled products from Good Environmental Choice Australia (GECA) have been released and are accepting products for certification. GECA’s Paper and Stationery Products, Sanitary Paper Products and Recycled Products standards have been updated from previous standards, with an expanded scope and revised criteria to set new environmental benchmarks for the products they cover.

GECA is pleased to welcome some new licensees to start the new year. The first of these is Bosco Storage Solutions, an Australian manufacturer of commercial office storage solutions, offering four different GECA certified products under the Furniture and Fittings standard.

Good Environmental Choice Australia (GECA) has welcomed two new senior leaders to help it better fulfil it’s mission to drive a substantial increase in the sustainability of consumption. Anna Scott has been appointed as Director of Innovation and Ben Waters as Director of Strategy. Anna and Ben will work with the GECA team to explore innovative ways to transform business and consumer demand for sustainable products and services.

GECA is pleased to welcome its newest licensee, FX Australia, who has recently achieved certification under the Paints and Coatings standard for a range of products. Over almost two decades, FX Australia has developed and refined its range of innovative and safe water-based coatings for use in the built environment.

Rugs Carpet & Design (RC&D) creates individual and exclusive custom rugs, carpets and flooring design solutions. The company has a range of stylish and environmentally-products certified with GECA under the Carpets standard. RC&D specialises in delivering unique, customised carpet products that meet their clients' colour, size and texture expectations.

Staples Australia and Staples New Zealand are part of the world's largest office products company and a trusted source for office solutions. They have a range of task and visitor chairs for the office certified with GECA under the Furniture and Fittings standard.

BGC Plasterboard has a range of plasterboard products certified under GECA's Panel Boards standard - great for an environmentally-preferable fitout or as part of a green building project.

Good Environmental Choice Australia has today announced that it has been awarded the internationally recognised GENICES accreditation by the Global Ecolabelling Network (GEN). GENICES recognition is awarded to ecolabelling schemes that meet international best practice. GECA is the only Australian ecolabelling scheme to be accredited with GENICES.

CSR Gyprock has added a range of new products to their list of GECA certified products, increasing the choices available for environmentally-preferable plasterboard. Their Supaceil, Impactchek, Soundchek, Fyrchek, Fyrchek MR, Shaft Liner, Aquachek, Perforated Plasterboard, and Standard Plasterboard products all now carry the GECA ecolabel and meet all the criteria of GECA's Panel Boards standard.

A new draft standard for refrigerants from Good Environmental Choice Australia (GECA) is now available for public comment. GECA’s Refrigerants standard has been updated, with revised criteria to set new environmental benchmarks and reflect industry changes. GECA welcomes comments on the standard from the public and industry professionals until 26 December.

Need foam? GECA licensee Perth Foam has plenty of it, and their polyurethane foam range is certified under GECA's Furniture and Fittings standard, making it an environmentally-preferable choice. It's also Green Star applicable.
