GECA seeks feedback for new standards
Good Environmental Choice Australia (GECA) is asking for feedback from developers, manufacturers and infrastructure project teams on which additional standards it should develop to help projects earn points under the Infrastructure Sustainability Council of Australia’s (ISCA) IS rating scheme.

New products: ARTMATRIX achieves certification for additional items
Good Environmental Choice Australia (GECA) licensee ARTMATRIX has achieved certification for two additional items. The IF (ECO) Intelligent Folding Table (9IF) and I-Beam (ECO) Desking System (9IB) have passed their audits with one of GECA’s JAS-ANZ accredited conformance assessment bodies BSI; enabling them to achieve GECA certification.

New licensee: Perth Foam achieves GECA certification
GECA welcomes Perth Foam as its newest licensee. The company is an Australian-based, family-run business that manufacturers in Western Australia. Founded by the Peacock family in 1881, and still run by the same family today, it specialises in supplying foam to a wide variety of customers for use in bedding, upholstery, packaging, hospitality and healthcare.
New products: Arper adds new items to GECA licence
Arper has passed its audit with BSI to achieve certification for some new products. Saya, Juno, Ginger, Gher, Team and Aava certified by Good Environmental Choice Australia (GECA) under the Furniture, Fittings & Foam 2010 v2.1 standard meaning they offer a sustainably preferable option for designers, architects and consumers.
DesignBUILD draws to a close

GECA cleaning and paint products now recognised by the GBCA
More GECA standards have been approved by the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) meaning products certified under them will contribute to achieving credit points for Green Star projects. Following the GBCA’s announcement in October to expand its existing Assessment Framework, GECA applied to get its Paints & Coatings and Cleaning Products standards recognised.
