On 2 March, the GECA team took action and spent Business Clean Up Australia Day by the seaside at La Perouse. At first glance, the beaches seemed as clean and glistening as the ocean, but quickly the team uncovered an assortment of rubbish littered across the cliffs and sands. In fact, it was shockingly easy for us to fill up our bags.

The Victorian Premier’s Recognition Award was won at the recent Premier’s Sustainability Awards by Enable Social Enterprises for their work employing disadvantaged people in a successful e-waste business.

The calibre of entries in Victoria's 2019 Premier’s Sustainability Awards has grown from strength to strength with a record number of entries this year. This year’s Awards celebrate sustainability in 11 categories demonstrated by educational institutions, businesses in every sector, health organisations, government and community groups right across the State.

On Sunday 22 September, GECA will be celebrating all things sustainable at Randwick City’s Eco Living Expo. This free community event promotes innovative green living in a fun, family-friendly way.

The Green Globe Awards are open for nominations from sustainable businesses, innovators and champions. This year is the 20th anniversary of the awards and it's going to be the biggest yet.

On Sustainable House Day (16 Sept), GECA along with its licensees, collaborated with Randwick City Council to showcase their own Sustainable House at the Eco-Living Expo. 

Young eco-warriors, business leaders, social enterprises and long-time leaders of the environmental movement are all represented in the list of finalists for the 19th annual Green Globe Awards.
