Mark is a highly motivated and experienced business, policy and sustainability professional with strong leadership, communications and technical skills. He has a successful 35-year international track record of driving evidence-based sustainable innovation and circularity in the agri-food and grocery, clothing, building and construction and electronic goods industries.

Mark's work has always been grounded in a passionate belief that sustainability standards and certification can unlock new opportunities for value creation, innovation, and sustainable product design while supporting the delivery of government policy and strategy.

With over 30 years of experience in developing, implementing and certifying sustainability standards, Mark brings a deep understanding of the role of standards and certification to GECA. He has a BSc in Environmental Science and an MSc in Environmental Management and has a background in applied economics having crafted over an 11-year career in international finance. He has also been a behavioural science practitioner for almost 20 years.
